One friend of mine dropped a 426 HEMI in a '71 Cuda.'ran the 2x4's.and a 5000 RPM stall converter.'sure didn't have a problem racing police cars.Another guy I know had a '69 Road Runner with a .30 over 440 running 12.5 to one. The Javilin that he raced actually got him off the line, but once the RR hit 2nd gear the race was over.

the edge is determined sometimes by the hook up that ford hooked the mopar didn't looks like he dos'nt have a 4 link...no use havein power if you can't get it to the ground

The old mopars were not much off the line, I owned a couple. Once you got them running, they were tough to beat.
The newer stangs are killer off the line, and kinda lose something after about 100 mph. I know I currently own one.

that wasnt a 426 hemi or 440 six pack maybe a 383 or 318 cause if it were the outcome would have been much different or that driver just sucks balls
